Port of Spain, Trinidad & Tobago
Good for a day (or two at most) of exploration and the capital of the twin-island southern Caribbean nation of Trinidad & Tobago, Port of Spain is hot, green, bustling & world-renowned for its region-best Carnival, but somewhat aesthetically challenged & short on must-see sights. My penultimate stop on a 6-week Caribbean island hop towards the South American continent (which is almost within touching distance from the city), I stopped off en route from St Lucia to the ABC island of Curacao.
