It has been good to be home for Christmas, my first Christmas in Ireland for 8 years. Putting my travels on hold over the festive period hasn’t seen me getting up to much. What I did do was a lot of was lazing around; a lot of eating & drinking (it was Christmas after all); I touched base with family & friends; I bought stuff; & I attempted to map out my travels for the coming year – 2013 is going to be a good year in that regard.

A lighthouse near Rosses Point in County Sligo, Ireland. January 5th 2013.

About the only time of late that I took the camera out was when I paid a sunrise visit to scenic Rosses Point (map-pointer-icon) in Sligo, west Ireland. The conditions weren’t ideal but the menacing looking sky & a picturesque little lighthouse made for a nice scene. Rosses Point in County Sligo, Ireland. January 5th 2013.
